The project began with a real story—my roommate fell into debt for a luxury bag, living on instant noodles. 

 

This moment exposed a wider crisis: Gen Z’s emotional and financial exhaustion under luxury culture. 

 

My research critiques this China’s Gen Z overconsumption cycle and calls for healthier, value-driven lifestyles beyond material desire.
